Fire Blankets

A fire blanket is made of a fire retardant material used to extinguish small fires by placing the blanket over the fire denying oxygen to it by smothering it. Largely used in kitchens and in the office. There are larger fire blankets that are used for workshops and industrial settings. They kept in a quick release container so that they can be easily deployed. They are usually made of cotton with a fire inhibitor woven in, fiber-glass but some are also made from kevlar. Fire blankets are very easy to use and are helpful because people who don’t know how to use fire extinguishers can easily deal with small fires themselves.

The fire blankets that we provide are compact, portable and light weight. They comply with all relevant Australian standards (AS 3504) and are of the highest quality. They are available in quick release soft pouches and plastic cases.

Fire blankets don’t have a shelf life, they shouldn’t have to be replaced unless they have been damaged. They are single use, after using one to extinguish a fire you will need to replace the fire blanket immediately.
